It's the DVD ZABADY, built to withstand the worst of splashes while delivering the best possible media playback around. The DVD ZABADY is a petite yet stout gadget, measuring at a healthy 290x180x62mm and weighs at around 1.3 kilograms.

Two speakers at the front deliver quite the audio punch, while a bright LCD screen gets you a clear picture even while you're busy in the tub. Versatile, the DVD ZABADY can play movies from either DVDs or SD cards, and music in either MP3 or MP4 format. The waterproof casing opens up at the back for easy access to the media slots, and closes back on itself nice and tight to prevent any water from getting in.

And if you're worried about having direct contact with the DVD ZABADY's face buttons with your fingers wet, this little gadget comes with its own waterproof remote control, designed so that you can easily adjust your viewing or listening experience without the risk of shocking yourself. Nice.

Geneva Sound System XL - Image 1iPod docks typically come in small sizes. Of course, there's always the exception - like the Tune-In Bed. Today we came across another one thanks to Uber-Review: the Geneva Sound System XL. Check it out on the right.

Looks custom made for an iPod, right? Actually, aside from working as an iPod dock, the Geneva Sound System XL can also act as a huge speaker for other mp3 players. You can also connect it to vinyl, TV or any audio using the bundled audio and line-in (RCA) cables. It also has a built-in FM radio receiver and a slot-loading CD that can read both audio CDs and mp3s.

Yeah, it's big - it weighs 38kg and is 61cm high - but that's because it has a 600-watt high fidelity digital amplifier. This behemoth is available in three colors: white, red, and black. The price? US$ 1,075 without the optional aluminum floor stand, US$ 1,194 with it. Oh, and it also comes with a remote control.

Slingbox Pro - Image 1

Reports of Sling Media working on making their Slingbox placeshifting device compatible with Apple's new Apple TV have been confirmed according to The Unofficial Apple Weblog. The confirmation was reportedly made by Dave Zatz, an employee at Sling Media.

For those who have yet to encounter it, the Slingbox is a TV streaming device that lets users stream and view video from their AV sources (DVD player, TiVo, etc.) remotely on their Internet-capable PCs. It also has an IR blaster that lets users control their AV source as if they were in their living rooms and using a standard remote control.

The report from The Unofficial Apple Weblog says that the Slingbox Pro will apparently connect to the Apple TV via the component outputs. It will give users access not only to their videos but also to their entire iTunes library. Users can also reduce bandwidth by choosing audio only mode on the SlingPlayer software.

retractable Wiimote cuffs - Image 1 Okay, so we guess the idea of cuffing the Wiimote to your wrist through handcuffs bought from a sex shop didn't really take off. The whole Wiimote wielding community laments at the still open possibility of losing grip of the motion sensing controller while playing, and hitting the TV with it. Slipping Wiimotes equals broken TVs and broken Wiimotes. What now?

Thankfully, there's the Retractable Wii Sports Cuff For Remote control. Made of neoprene this time and not cold metal anymore, you attach the cuff to the Wiimote and slap it to your wrist. It is retractable up to 13 inches, with an adjustable wrist band, and it's available in black.

Come to think of it, the retractable 13-inch cord could be of help when using the Wiimote as an innovative weapon, ala rodeo cowboy. Haha. The cuff doesn't come in different colors; we'd appreciate a Wii-color scheme. And a bad thing is that the price tag reading US$ 5.99 is already a discounted price.

Face the problem - Image 1 It's frustrating to have the remote control in hand and lose it after walking to the fridge to get the snacks. With all the foil bags and wrappers in the average couch potato's habitat, it's close to impossible finding the little bugger in time not to miss anything from your favorite show.

Thankfully, some people think of the strangest solutions to the most mundane problems these days. Introducing the Remote Wrangler: A headgear that is made of soft, stretchable fabric that fits comfortably on one's face. You can actually attach your favorite gadgets on the headgear and keep track of your MP3 player, remote control and other stuff all the time.

But wait, there's more! The device actually has a remote-controlled temporal massager as an added bonus to soothe your loaded head as you get tired while watching TV and playing video games all day. The idea may sound strange initially, but it can actually be pretty fashionable when you think about it- it comes in two styles: Retro-sportsman (so you look like an olympic wrestler) and classic olive.

CES 2007

Uh-oh. It looks like those metal-scavenging Jawas have finally gotten their grubby paws on R2D2 and have turned him into... well, an iPod dock. As spotted at the CES 2007 floor, this little droid won't exactly pilot your X-Wing for you anymore, but it CAN play your tunes and project your movies.

R2D2?? What have those Jawas done to you??At the Nikko Home Electronics corner, the R2-D2 DVD Projector was spotted being sold for more than US$ 2,000. You can pop in your favorite DVD movie in the slot and project the show onto your wall. If you're tired of that, R2D2 can also play your CDs or hook up to your iPod.

This guy's true purpose is to play DVDs though, and can display an image on the wall at up to 80 inches wide, or he can tilt up so he can project onto the ceiling, just so you can lie back while you watch the latest season of "House MD".

As for the remote, the remote control slides out of a replica of the Millennium Falcon. Besides controlling the projector though, this remote can also move R2D2 himself, making him go forward, reverse, right, left, and do pivot turns as he makes his signature bleeps and boops (I have to admit, that is so darned cute...).

Now if only he came with his mini-zapper and his rocket boosters, it would be perfect.

You may have heard about the new street racing phenomenon known as drifting. As the name suggests, drifting involves skidding your car around a corner, much like the drifting in video games but trust me, having tried it once on a racetrack, it's harder than it looks. The latest thing to hit Singapore is a little more nerdy than the usual drifting and it involves using RC cars to drift. So if you can't drive or you just aren't up to par with the standards of drifting champions and are more suited to a remote control then this is for you.

You must have a really sensitive remote control to be able to do this, probably one with a miniature steering wheel in order to keep the car drifting around the corner. RC drifting takes place on pretty much any surface, on go kart tracks, open roads and with a variety of different cars. With the zoom of the camera you could easily mistake this RC drifting for real drifting - until you see the teenagers in the backgrounds wrestling with a remote control that is. Imagine how many hours of practice it takes to get this good!
