tivoCBS's pilot episode for the sitcom "The Class" will arrive at your Tivo a full week before its primetime premiere on the tube. "Jericho," "Smith" and "Shark" drama clips will also be included.

Already thought of as a bogeyman for the regular TV, it seems the tide has shifted. The Tivo caused quite a commotion among TV broadcasters and networks because of its ability to provide time shifting viewing. But everyone comes to realize that instead of throwing regular TV viewing with its commercials to the dogs, the Tivo has made tube-watching even more popular. It wasn't really a craze, but Tivo allows us to record programs in a big enough hard disk, while another program is running.

With the new partnership, it's quite clear that Tivo is not a real bogeyman for the TV people. One may consider it a gimmick, but of course, no one takes the Tivo's power for granted.
