Okay, here's the leg of our gadget journey where we double over on ourselves and drop our geeky side to let our hidden social needs emerge and frolic. Hey, sometimes gearheads need to flash their accurate chronometers with some flair, too. And Casio, being the carrier of the popular G-Shock product line, will allow those with a knack for both tech and fashion to indulge themselves just so. More details of the new G5500C line at the full story. |

If you've been there from the beginning, you'll realize that Casio's G-Shock has gone a long way since the first DW-5000 model was released 25 years ago. To commemorate the long standing techie watch brand, the company has released the limited edition MRG-8000G series, complete with gold touches and its patented Tough Solar battery recharging technology. Check out the details of this souped up G-Shock in the full article. |

For the past few years, we've been labelling our personal CD/DVDs using magic marker. We tried printing the label on paper then gluing or taping it on the disc's top side but the heat kept prying the paper labels off. Using transparent tape in particular can result in a complicated situation. When the heat loosens part of the tape which snags on something, it can trap the disc inside. It takes us hours to rescue it. So the magic marker became our labelling tool of choice. Given our handwriting, however, people with no background in graphology find our labels almost as easy as reading Ancient Babylonian. Which is why we're looking forward to next month. Starting August Casio will make available its DVD/CD Title Printers. Casio's CW-E60 (154mm x 126mm x 68mm ) plugs into a PC but prints directly onto DVD and CD media with a maximum resolution of 200dpi. Another version, the CW-K80 (204mm x 183mm x 68.8mm) comes with a built-in keyboard and does not require a PC to operate. The Casio CW-E60 will retail for $83 while the CW-K80 for $119. |

Is your spouse, lover or partner afflicted with a severe case of wanderlust? Are you freaking tired of trying to locate him (or her, we're not sexists) by mobile phone? Are you nearly bankrupt from all the private detective bills? If you answered yes to any of the above, then why don't you flush him/her down the damn toilet? Oh, yes, you're still hoping he/she would change his/her evil ways.
If you're having a hard time convincing him/her to get neutered/spayed, there's another solution. The PT-200 is the smallest and the most powerful bracelet-type personal tracking and communication system in the world. It uses highly sensitive GPS module and tri-band GSM module which can track its wearer's wandering all over the planet. The PT-200 keeps the wearer on the watcher's radar through regular cellular phone and unmanned control center, smart phone and control software with E-map on the smart phone, and byman-serviced control center. Looking like antiquated Casio watches, but still very sylish compared to the traditional ball-and-chain, the PT -200 measures 60x65x23mm and weighs a mere 200g. Its very low power consumption keeps it going for more than 50 hours without recharging the battery. Its other features include: ![]()
