True, or April Fool's Joke? According to DigiTimes, Lite-On is currently producing Blu-ray drives for the Xbox 360 gaming consoles, despite Microsoft's previous comments about not having any plans of using Blu-ray technology in its gaming console. It's no secret that Toshiba was hit really hard with the loss of HD DVD to Blu-ray. It was previously estimated that they would lose hundreds of millions of dollars after dropping the format. Although it would probably have been more accurate if they said they'd lose close to a billion dollars, which is the new estimate reported by Nikkei business daily.
