Sandisk - Image 1In celebration of its new 8GB MicroSDHC and M2 flash drive, flash memory giant SanDisk held loud and proud events in West Hollywood, California's Sunset Strip. The event happened in Key Club, Roxy and Viper Room of the world-famous mile-long road.

Spearheading the festivities was rock group Linkin Park, with Common, The Crystal Method, Cut Chemist, Z-Trip, MC Supernatural, and other surprise acts. These artists seek to help SanDisk with its "slot education" advocacy.

Slot education refers to SanDisk's campaign to raise awareness among mobile phone users that there's a MicroSD slot in most of today's mobile handsets which can open up a new world for them. The high storage capacity of SanDisk's MicroSDHC and M2 Flash Drive allows users to take their music, pictures, and video anywhere they go.

SanDisk says that users should take advantage of this technology because it allows their mobile handsets to "awaken" and become centerpieces of entertainment needs.
