The Nintendo DS 1seg TV tuner in Japan caused quite a ruckus over demand. Online order placement for the DS/DSLite attachment were opened a few weeks back without any announcement whatsoever, but still, traffic flooded in.

Meanwhile, a recent survey conducted reveals that only 18% of the DS population want the TV tuner... But considering the sheer size of the DS population itself, the "only 18%" goes a loooong way indeed!

It should be remembered that Japanese electronics company Sanyo launched back in May the world's waterproof camcorder dubbed as Xacti E1. Well, we just got word that the the company is about to follow that up with waterproof portable TV in a couple of days.

Sanyo has named the gadget LVT-WD40 and it should be available on November 21 in Japan for 50,000 Yen or roughly around US$ 453. The rest of the details after the jump!
