iPhone FW 2.2 - Image 1Last week's rumor that the latest iPhone firmware would be available by today was actually legit. iPhone FW 2.2 is now available from Apple! Yes, it's got the upgrades to the Map application, among other cool things. Woot! Meanwhile, the iphone-dev team is already promising to deliver the latest PwnageTool and QuickPwn apps as soon as possible - as always, they recommend holding off the updating for now until they've been able to investigate more on the new firmware. SimCity coming to the iPhone - Image 1Another major franchise is jumping on board the iPhone wagon: SimCity. Not only can you play god and torment your citizens with a tornado out of nowhere, but now you can do it on the go too! The game will come out on the App store sometime this December.

iPhone - Image 1I say "iPhone," it hears "sex." As to how the new Google app on the iPhone can confuse those two words, I'll never know. Apparently, it has trouble understanding British accent. The app confuses the word "iPhone" with a lot of other words too, find out more.

Even Spidey has a PSP..lol - Image 1Market researcher, the NPD Group, found that at least half of the owners of portable entertainment devices use their gadgets pretty much the same, if not more than they did 3 months ago. In other words, some people love their portable playthings more today than yesterday.

Apple boss: iPod gaming better than DS and PSP - Image 1iD Software's Carmack once said that the iPhone is more powerful than the DS and the PSP combined. Adding insult to injury is Apple's Greg Joswiak, who says that iPhone gaming is doing extremely well, and that the Nintendo DS and the PSP are a thing of the past.
