Warning: Coughing Ashtray May Be Good For Your Health

The most effective way of stopping people from smoking we've seen so far was on Oprah. A doctor brought with him a real human lung from a real human who died from smoking. He sliced it open and showed everyone the effect of tobacco on the lungs. At least one woman in the audience vowed to drop her filthy habit cold turkey. We decided to give up Oprah.

But since preserved human lungs aren't readily available at the mall you may want to use the Coughing Ashtray, instead. The ashtray looks like a real pair of lungs and when a cigarette is placed on it starts "coughing and screaming as if a real cigarette is being lighted up inside real lungs!" The maker of this gadget-with-a-mission call it a great novelty gift item for the nicotine addict in your life or for someone who needs help to kick the habit. And at about $12, it's cheaper than Oprah's demo lungs.
