Sony logo - Image 1The quirky Sony Rolly finally rolls its way into U.S. shelves, happily rolling and spinning into the hearts of American consumers. For those who are not yet acquainted with the dancing MP3 player, it's an egg-shaped gadget that not only plays music with its well-placed 180-degree stereo speakers, but also rolls around and dances in tune to the music.

The Rolly also flashes 700 hues of light while it "sings" and dances, which makes it an awesome dance partner in the dance floor (you'll have to be careful not to trip and fall over it, though). If you want the little audiovisual egg to dance a certain way, you can even use its accompanying Rolly Choreographer software to customize the Rolly's sweet moves for your favorite music.

Preloaded with three tunes - Also Sprach Zarathustra, Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend, and Earth Wind and Fire's Boogie Wonderland - the Sony Rolly sells for US$ 400 in the Sony Style stores, more or less the same price as its Japanese counterpart.
