It seems that the new trend for Sony is following the same fun-sized and diminutive package of the Bravia series as it rolls out the new M1 HDTV series.
The 20-inch and 16-inch LCDs have a 1366x768 resolution with 1,200:1 and 1,800:1 contrast ratios, respectively. Both models make use of the Bravia Engine 2 image processing, a 24p True Cinema 1080p-compatible HDMI inputs, plus VOD and DLNA connectivity.
In addition to that, the M1 will come in various combinations of bezel colors. These new HDTVs will be rolled out this March 25 in Japan with the 20-inch model costing ¥110,000 (about US$ 1,020) and the 16-inch model priced at ¥90,000 (about US$ 835).
So far, there's been no announcement from Sony regarding the release of the M1-series in the United States. However, we'll be sure to catch any updates about this as soon as we get them.
