You may have heard about the new street racing phenomenon known as drifting. As the name suggests, drifting involves skidding your car around a corner, much like the drifting in video games but trust me, having tried it once on a racetrack, it's harder than it looks. The latest thing to hit Singapore is a little more nerdy than the usual drifting and it involves using RC cars to drift. So if you can't drive or you just aren't up to par with the standards of drifting champions and are more suited to a remote control then this is for you.

You must have a really sensitive remote control to be able to do this, probably one with a miniature steering wheel in order to keep the car drifting around the corner. RC drifting takes place on pretty much any surface, on go kart tracks, open roads and with a variety of different cars. With the zoom of the camera you could easily mistake this RC drifting for real drifting - until you see the teenagers in the backgrounds wrestling with a remote control that is. Imagine how many hours of practice it takes to get this good!

Imagine how much practice, yes, but the results are
amazing. That video was awe-inspiring, I only wish there
was some way I could get to singapore to get my hands
on one of those.

Keep up the good Bloggin'.

 » those farkers

those farkers can go and start sobbing, cus' my 1:6 enzo can smash them. it has a 3.5hp petrol engine from a whipper snipper (or line trimmer, whatever you want to call it) with its gearbox I found on a dirt bike, it can reach just under 100km/h (60 mph). It weighs heaps as well, so it has to have a steel reinforcement, and a heat proof enclosure to stop the plastic melting the exausts (im thinking of just putting a hole in the floor)

anyways, where do these ppl live? i would like to take them on....

if you want to buy one, just buy a cheap rc electric car and put a petrol engine in it, with a few minor mods, you have a basic petrol car.
