It doesn't take that much force to play Wii sports so how in the world people be breaking tvs is beyond me. i've played the game very well and i have't sent the controller flying period let along at break neck speeds to destroy a tv. thats just beyond retardation.
Some of us have exceptionally sweaty palms, which in turn means we're more likely to drop the controller.
That, and some of us can get carried away on those backhands...
What does sweaty hands have to do with the Wii remote being strapped to your wrist? NOTHING.
Yes, I've seen the videos of the strap breaking. Most liklely because they didn't "cinch" the strap to their wrist.

Don't overestimate the intelligence of the average Wii owner. After all, they did pay up to $400 for an overclocked Gamecube.
