Thanks to technology, your daily sprints will soon be easier to track. Nike just unveiled its latest product, the Nike+ SportBand, to help you run the extra mile. Following the Nike+ iPod's revolutionary success, this new gadget offers more features for the serious runner. Together with the launch of the Nike+ Coach service this spring, you're sure to find the road of the best.

Through press wire, Nike revealed that the Nike+ SportBand is a powerful wristband which allows runners to see their distance, pace, time, step count and calories burned when they run. As if those weren't enough to keep you sweaty in excitement, the gizmo also promises full access to the many tools and features on nikeplus.com.

On the other hand (or foot), Nike+ Coach is a convenient program that connects runners to Nike's website so they can track each other's workouts. Users also get a personal online trainer who'll motivate athletes and assist them in cooking up the perfect training program whether it's a beginner or intermediate runner. Additional features to be implemented plan to give running folks the option to form teams to support one another or challenge other teams.
