Hitachi has finally announced that its 1.5 inch ultra-thin LCD televisions are now  North America. This month, the company will be launching the 42-inch Director's Series Model for US$ 3,699.

If 42 inches isn't enough (or is too much) for you, expect the rest of the models to trickle until September. The television sizes range from 32 inches which goes for US$ 1,799 all the way  to the 47 inches which will be going for US$ 4,699.
