Are you botanically challenged? Does everything you touch die? (If so, wear gloves before you go out of the house.) Here's a little gadget that can help you develop that green thumb: the Flower Nurse, from Yanko Design.

It's basically a gadget that simulates a real plan. The "flowers" are cubes that change color depending on its needs. Each flower also has a display that shows a barometric reading. The leaves also droop depending on how much attention they need.

Of course, you can always just get a real plant and practice on that - but why put an innocent plant's life on the line? Might as well be eco-friendly about it. When this gadget "dies," at least you can restart it. Besides, it's just too geeky to pass up.

The Practice Plant is still in its design phase. Perhaps they can add a few more touches before they release it. It might prove more practical to also use it as an alarm clock or a radio instead of just a plant simulator.
