The Lynx will be used to take tourists on a trip to outer space - Image 1If outer space sounds like a good destination to you, you may wish to approach Lynx space rocket">XCOR Aerospace about that. You see, the organization recently unveiled a new Lynx rocket intended for commercial use sometime in the vague future.

As of now, XCOR Aerospace's Lynx appears to be the only other commercial spacecraft aside from Virgin Galactic's ships. It's reportedly capable of reaching a maximum speed of Mach 2 and a maximum altitude of 200,000 feet.

The craft runs on liquid oxygen and kerosene. As with all things, there's a catch. Well, there are several catches, really. Besides the cost of the trip, people will be required to present medical clearance.

They'll also be asked to undergo proper training before attempting the trip. XCOR's craft is a two-seater, meaning paying customers will have to line up for their turn to ride. Oh, and don't expect to any ejection seats on the Lynx, either, should trouble arise in mid-flight.

XCOR Aerospace featured additional details about the Lynx in a short video. If you're interested in watching it, all you have to do is to click on the source link below.
