Remember all those iRiver PMPs that we featured before? Man, the designs on those babies were slick. For 2007, it seems that the Korean firm will once again be focusing on eye-catching designs for their PMPs judging from their new X20 PMP.
The X20 has simple controls, an attractive glossy face that doesn't trap finger smudges. It's also one of the few PMPs that have a removable battery, and offers storage expandability through the use of a microSD card. The X20 work as a universal mass storage device as well, and has MPEG-4 and WMV support as well as JPEG viewing, audio playback, voice recording and FM radio.
The X20's tiny scroll ring does pose a bit of a bother, though. According to the reviewer, the flimsy scroll ring "is a bit on the slim side and tries to compensate with grooves to get a bit of grip going," but the X20 makes up for it with its 2.2-inch screen, which according to CNET Asia is "crisp and sharp, sharper than any we've seen for its size class with eight brightness levels."
Details for the X20's pricing and availability have yet to be released, so keep checking back here on QJ for more updates. In the meantime, check out the images of this sweet-looking PMP below.
